Dr. Denisia Thomas is a dedicated physician on the path to becoming a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist at the prestigious Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. With a stellar educational background including a Bachelor of Science from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Master of Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Auburn, Dr. Thomas embodies excellence in the medical field. Beyond her rigorous training, Dr. Thomas is a compassionate advocate for women's health, actively engaging in the community and research projects to drive positive change. As a member of the Junior League of Norfolk-VA Beach, she has a history of impactful initiatives, such as leading the Period Project to combat period poverty in local schools. Known for her innovative spirit and ability to communicate complex medical concepts in a relatable manner, Dr. Thomas creates a warm and inclusive environment for her patients, ensuring each individual feels valued and understood. Outside of her medical pursuits, Dr. Thomas finds joy in music, travel, kayaking, hiking, and cherishing moments with her loved ones.
