Explore the past and follow along as slave children escape using the Underground Railroad. Stories, songs, and games are at the heart of Sheila Arnold’s “Children at the Border” performance.
Historical storytelling at its best! Master Storyteller, Sheila Arnold, shares about local waterways that were part of the Underground Railroad from an 1870s book written by William Still, a Conductor for the Underground Railroad and Secretary of the Philadelphia Abolitionist Society.
This project made possible in part by a grant from Virginia Humanities in partnership with the Great Bridge Battlefield & Waterways Museum.
